This
course is ideal for anyone, particularly if you are interested in exploring the way our mind works and the way we can work with our mind. We will look at ways our mind can keep us in unhelpful patterns of thinking or behaviour, as well as how we can develop inner strength, greater ease with ourselves and discover or rediscover a simple pleasure in life. We will explore ways of relating to life and personal challenges skilfully, build self-care, compassion and resilience.
The course requires a degree of commitment between sessions, as in order to get the most out of it, you will be asked to explore mindfulness practices at home. We can check that this is the right time for you before you sign up.
This is an is an evidence-based course that was developed by researchers at the Oxford Mindfulness Centre based in the UK and draws on the work of Zindel Segal, Mark Williams and John Teasdale and their Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy for depression course. [1]
